The Easter Bunnies are out and spring is in sight! The hunt is on for the grand prize drink recipe.
Posted by Kathy at March 9, 2010 06:00 PMChris and family will not be coming, it's their year to have Easter with Heather's family. Erin, it may be just your girls for the zoo outing.
Posted by Lisa at March 10, 2010 07:27 AMWith our 3 hour drive home, I vote for an earlier dinner time. Heck, I personally prefer Easter Brunch to Easter Dinner, but my better half says "You aren't hosting, so you don't get to make the plans!" Thank goodness for small favors, no house to clean!! Hee, Hee!
Still deciding on the Zoo. We love the Zoo, but aren't sure when we'll get to town, might be too late to go. We'll sign up for the potluck item soon.
Posted by Sheila at March 10, 2010 01:17 PMEarlier is better for us on Sunday as well. Still thinking on my potluck item there.
I'll volunteer a pan of Pioneer Woman's lasagna for dinner Saturday.
Posted by erin at March 10, 2010 02:48 PMI will be there...I can bring whatever is needed for food. I'm guessing I'll be commish for this get together so I'm out for farm babies. How can I or anyone top my xmas drink???
Posted by alyssa at March 10, 2010 07:31 PMI don't care what time we eat on Sunday. Make it 11:00 Brunch. As long as Dad is okay with that, I'm okay too.
Posted by Lisa at March 11, 2010 05:00 AMWe are not sure on the Farm babies yet. We will however be attending the Easter Meal at my favorites Aunt's house. When a food list is made, we can bring whatever is needed.
Posted by Lonni at March 12, 2010 07:02 PMSo glad you are coming, Lon!
Folks, I don't want to eat too early, what about church? Is Brunch the best way to go? Let me know.
I think Erin's got a good idea for Saturday evening dinner--Italian it is. I'll make a pan of Manicotti. Dad will be so happy...not. Oh well. We'll just need a salad and a good bread to complete the meal.
No word from John yet. That's so odd.
Posted by Lisa at March 14, 2010 07:20 AMI, of course, still vote for brunch. I love brunch. You know, not quite breakfast, not quite lunch, but the best of both. We can still do the ham and potatoes with the potluck fill ins so everybody gets their faves. We want to bring caramel oven French toast. Do you prefer to move it to 11:30 instead, Lisa, so it's not quite so early? I'm sure we'll go to 4 am mass, right? We should be back in plenty of time. How about everybody else?
Do you want us to bring the bread or the salad for Sat. night? We can do either.
Posted by Sheila at March 14, 2010 11:14 AMFolks, there's been a slight change in plans. The King Of The Road has requested Stan's BBQ ribs for Saturday 'supper'. What the King wants, the King gets.
We still need bread and salad and dessert tho. Erin, can you switch to a salad? Sheila can you bring bread? Kathy = dessert?
I'll just quote him on what he wants for Sunday:
"i don't give a dam what or when we eat easter sun". So 11:30 Brunch it is.
Posted by Lisa at March 14, 2010 02:41 PMWhat would Easter be without Mom's cake roll? That will be dessert for Saturday dinner. 11:30 brunch is a good time for us. Our church service is at 9:00 a.m. I'll bring something "fruity" for brunch.
Took my first stroll through the backyard today. It's been months! Lots of green grass and perennials that didn't know enough to freeze under all the snow.
Posted by Kathy at March 14, 2010 07:59 PMMom, just let me know what to bring Sunday. Green bean casserole?? :)
Posted by alyssa at March 14, 2010 08:30 PMSalad for Saturday it is! Still thinking on Sunday, but I'll maybe do some sort of bread?
Posted by Erin at March 15, 2010 02:09 PMPlease send a care package of both Saturday night's meal and Sunday's brunch to:

Thank you so much
The adopted one.
Sorry, but our plans are to hang tight on the farm this year. On Saturday work calls to John, you know. And by the time we get down there on Sunday, all the beer will be gone.
Happy holidays!
