On the Road Again

I'm sure you're thinking, how can Erin top Iowa as an exotic work destination? Astonishingly enough, I think I have. Next up for me - San Diego! Get ready Scott, I'm coming back out!

I don't have much for details yet, but start date is looking like June 23 (edited to add - date has been changed to July 7). It's a nine week project with 5 weeks of travelling. It's a lot of one week out there, one week back here. When I know the exact dates I'll be out there, I'll post them.

The client is downtown but hopefully we'll be able to do dinner and go for a Harley ride or ten. And this time, I'm hitting the bars warn Franco!. I won't have a tired AJ weighing me down!

I'll Be There, Erin!!

tsfrank_thumb_01.jpg

May I just say I personally don't understand the fascination and obsession with my buddy with the droopy toolbelt? The producers have assured me that for the first time ever, I will be the designer for both houses on your shoot. I can't reveal much, but I think one will feature chickens and the other may be bovine-related. Can't wait for the trip up north and am especially looking forward to meeting this Hulke babe. See you soon!

ERIN, SORRY I CAN'T BE THERE!

typ.jpg

After seeing your interview tape and your pictures, I tried to get the producers to assign me to your shoot, but they just couldn't work it out. They thought the chemistry between us might be too much for the 'G' rating the show has. I want you to know I am very disappointed, but, hey...that's SHOW BUSINESS!!!

P.S. Amy Wynn can't handle an EE Gun like I can, but she is willing to take a few lessons from your dad before the show taping.

Grads & Vamps

I trust everyone received their announcements for Zach's graduation and subsequent hoedown. There will be some slight changes in party protocol this year, however. Any and all monies given for Zach's academic accomplishment should be addressed to his very poor father. Really.

Kathy, is that free computer still in the works? Is the plan still to send it up with Dad next weekend? Much appreciated. Nice house!

Going to see Jay Leno at the casiner next week--I heard something about Erin being his special guest. . .

I suppose I should look into buying a motorscooter as it seems to be quite catchy in Dood's brood. But I'm going to first wait until Jeff and Sheila come roaring up into Pierz with their hot hog.

And speaking of these good chiros in Ottertail, perhaps we should all bow our heads in silence a moment for Buffy is no longer.

Auf Wiederschen, Shalom and Goombye

I'm a babe!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

We made it! We're going to be on Trading Spaces!

Got the call today. The network "has to have the four babes from Minneapolis open Season Four." We are insanely excited. We're babes! And we'll be the season premiere episode! There will be a viewing party in September for those who want to make the trek down here.

Logistics. Taping is June 10-12. Sadly, no Ty. The network really wanted him for our episode too. But, we'll have Amy Wynn and she's cool too. I'm hoping Season Premiere = Fabulous Designers although we don't know who yet. We'll possibly find out tomorrow.

Can I just say it's really, really weird that I'm going to be on tv and considering it's the season premiere probably on tv alot in commercials? Yikes. Good thing I got my hair cut.

A Birthday Celebration

Erin (aka Poopsie) had a big birthday this weekend. We're having a celebration at the lake Saturday, May 24th. I know you all won't be able to make it, but here's the invitation:

Happy Hour on the SS Galaxie (the old pontoon) at 4:00 p.m.
Dinner on the terrace (garage, patio, half-finished deck?) at 6:00
S'Mores and Kumbayah around the campfire at dusk
Beachhouse bar opens at 12:00 noon
O.K. Lonni --- Bloody Mary's at 11:00 (it must be noon somewhere!!)

If the weather is bad - we'll gather at Honeysuckle Lane.

P.S. Bring your hammers! Only kidding - Saturday is our day off.

Born to Ride Jr.

Well I just got off my new Fat Boy and it is now sitting safely in the garage. My body is still shaking, partly from nerves and partly from vibration. I will try and put pictures on the web site if I can find a digital camera; otherwise, I will send photos to those interested. Lonni, you should see this bike! I didn't get the looks I am sure you and your Dad get, but at least I am 100% American.

Can we start bragging about our niece yet?

We are wondering if it is time to start bragging about our niece (you know, the OLD one) being on Trading Spaces. How did the interview go? Can we set our VCR yet?

May Birthdays

Erin - May 17th - the BIG 30!
Sheila - May 26th

May 18th will be the 15 year anniversary of Mom's death. She would so enjoy seeing what has become of her family. I know she is smiling down and wishing all of us a wonderful Mother's Day. When you see a beautiful rose, think of Mom.

Prepare to be jealous

Two of my friends submitted an application to be on Trading Spaces with me and my friend Amy as their partners. They chose 10 applications in Minneapolis to do phone interviews with. Well, we've made it past that cut and are now one of the final six applicants. Our interview with the scout is next Friday. They're doing 3 shows here so we have a 50/50 chance! The girl who interviewed us really liked us and our enthusiasm and thought we'd make a great show. And come on, four gorgeous women doing home improvement? Who wouldn't watch that!

And yes, we did request Ty although you don't so much get to request your carpenter. If we get Amy I'm sure they won't mind Dad hanging out on set the entire time. But seriously, it shoots in June. Ty, hot, sweaty, no shirt. Oh yeah.

Think good thoughts for us!

Congratulations Lucas!

The Grunst tradition lives on! We're proud that you have been chosen to represent Pierz at Boys State. Just don't pay too much attention to the stories you'll hear about your dad at St. John's. He was a model student. Enjoy the experience.
