Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
Let it be known that in the Year 2003 the Krohns were the first family to get their dock in the water on West Jefferson Lake.
Assisting in this feat was Dood (The Crank) Grunst. The Grunst team of The Crank and Kathy provided the brains and brawn at the electric winch. Curt was the lead man (in his new hip waders) in the water.
No Grunst operation would be complete without some sort of incident. With the dock partway in the water, Curt called for reinforcements. By default Kathy donned the size 11 hip waders and proceeded into the lake. When the command came to push, the arms went, but the boots were stuck in the mud. (What happened to the sand bottom??)
Sploosh! Kathy went face first in the water. (sorry, no photo available).
We laughed, we cried -- eventually Curt was able to dislodge the boots from the muck. Dood The Crank just shook his head and said, "Wait till I tell Mary Etta."
Me thinks we will wait for the Vulcan boys before we put in the boat lift.
I did forget to mention one thing about the trip west. One afternoon three people decided to hit the par three golf course. One person has his own clubs and was golfing the week before. But the other two, who are visitors in this strange land have to rent some junk golf clubs and have not golfed in about 6 months. Final Scores please: Lonni - 36 Kristina - 39 SCOTT - 40
Thanks for buying the burgers and beer that night Scooter, they were delicious.
The long awaited vacation has come and gone. Although Scott has a few new gray hairs and Kayla will no longer look at little girls chasing after her as a good thing, the trip went off without a hitch. We managed to fit in about 10 days of activities into about 3 days. We hit Sea World, Disney, Wild Animal Park, Orfila vineyard and a very nice tour of Fairbanks and Rancho Santa Fe. The Fish Market was tremendous and some Mexican restaurants we tried were also very good except for the part where you think that you ordered one thing and you get a damn salad. Atleast the margaritas flowed smooth and often. Breakfast on the beach at the Posiedan and a walk in the Ocean topped things of. Enough of my rambling. Thank you again to one of San Diego's finest hotel proprietors "Cat Dancer" and his faithful companion "Lover Dog". By the way, the weather was sunny and 80 degrees everyday, but I am glad to be back on the Ponderosa. Flight 186 from San Diego has landed.
Dad decides to try to move the gas barrel in order to hide it from the boys. Doubt it will work.
A long time ago I remember running into Tommy on the streets of Nicollet town. He appeared to be bothered about a certain problem. It seems that every winter his plastic swimming pool would freeze over solid. But what really made him upset was that his dad, Frank, would occasionally give him some bullheads caught on Swan Lake--while muskratting in the fall. And, low and behold, when he put them in the pool, the fish would always be dead meat in the spring. Tommy said it took him ten years and approximately 350 bullheads to figure out that he needed to bring the fish in during winter and then release them again in the spring. I just stood there in shock and awe and said to myself, "This Tommy is a deep thinker."
Hoo Hah
I downloaded the pictures on my digital camera last night. Here's a
link to the San Diego pictures.
Most of mine are from Sea World and the Wild Animal Park but there are a few pics of Franco and Kaila. Enjoy!
By the way, I'm working on a picture program called Gallery where we could upload the pictures to here. As soon as that's up I'll transfer the pictures to there.
Is everyone watching the Oscar's? AJ, Lisa and I were *right* there yesterday! We took pictures, walked the red carpet and found John Wayne's star. It was pretty cool to see all of the Oscar preparation. Before that, we went to the Farmer's Market, drove through Beverly Hills and down Sunset Blvd and downed a few beers with my friend Karl - all without getting lost! The highlight of the day could have been the fabulous little gay man who helped us pick out makeup.
Grandpa and Scott went golfing and then out to dinner at Tony Roma's (which he said was the best meal of the trip). Rumor has it, Grandpa's golf partner had a little crush on him. Give him shit about Patsy. Franco was a teeny bit hung over as well but his golfing picked up on the back nine when he sobered up.
Friday was the Wild Animal Park. Very cool but we had to wait an hour and a half to get onto the monorail. Lonni - we recommend getting there early!
Gotta run - need to get ready for Ruth's Chris steakhouse.
Is it Thursday already? Boy, my sense of days is way off.
Got up early this morning and went with Scott to a job site. He drove us around and showed us the houses he's designed. We thought we could wander around the development clubhouse while he was in his meeting but were denied. I don't think they believed that we were looking at buying a lot. After that, we saw Scott's office and then went to tour more houses he's designed. I don't think the other three have recovered from the house we actually got to tour. $4 million, 7,000 square feet I believe. It was absolutely gorgeous and the owners gushed and gushed about Scott which was fun to hear.
We did lunch in Olde Town. Excellent Mexican food. We highly recommend Casa de Bandini. Toured Seaport Village but didn't find much for shopping there. Came back to the house to relax until Scott gets home from work. I think dinner is out tonight at a Mexican place with good seafood.
Just came back from watching the sun set and having a few drinks. Will now attempt to grill halibut and rib eye to some degree of eatability. WeI've had a few drinks, can you tell? Seems slightly insignificant now.
No one got wet at Seaworld. It was sunny and 70 here but we didn't want to get wet. Saw Shamu and her babies and the dolphin show. Grandpa had baby back ribs for lunch and was happy as a clam.
The weather is super and we're having a ball. AJ put on her sweatpants in anticipation of war. In any case, we'll look good.
By the way, we asked who was in favorite position for child and grandchild. Jeff, you are safe. Favorite grandchild seems to be going to one of the grandsons but AJ and I are fighting it, it seems to no avail. Apparently, not letting Grandpa get a new 12 pack of O'doul's shot us in the foot more than we knew.
As part of the contingent that was left behind in Minnesota -- I'm glad you made it to sun country safely. I do want a report as to how wet Shamu gets Dad at Sea World. He seems to attract the BIG splash!
Just a note from small-town Minnesota during these trying times....
A friend of mine from work, Lois, has a son who is on the front lines in Iraq, ready and waiting for the signal to attack. I met him when he was home for Christmas. He's a wonderful, bright and compassionate young man. It makes this pending war a little more personal. Lois has requested all the neighboring towns to put out their flags. They are flying high today. Tomorrow KEYC T.V. will be coming to LeSueur to interview her in the pedestrian park downtown. We will have our own little "support our troops" rally. In the days ahead, she will need all the support and prayers we can muster.
At the risk of sounding sappy, I hope we can all put our political views aside and let those men and women know that we appreciate the sacrifices they are making. The head of our Brood fought for our country 60 years ago and thankfully came home safely. Guess we wouldn't be here if he hadn't:)
Sorry for the serious note to this posting, but as the oldest, it might be my duty.
Say a little prayer for Bob Hutton tonight.
And San Diego kids --- have a ball!
It's 8:56 am and Grandpa is sitting in the backyard with an O'Doul's already.
Made it through airport security yesterday with no problems. Thought Grandpa's bracelets might set the scanner off but no go. On the plane, AJ and I were privileged enough to sit between a psychotic guy and two screaming children. Thank goodness for the People crossword puzzle.
Scott's house is gorgeous! Gorgeous kitchen, great windows and a cute little secluded backyard. Kaila is so so precious. She was a little scared of us at first but has warmed up.
Today is Sea World, La Jolla, margaritas and grilling out. Grandpa's buying ribeye. AJ and I want fish. Apparently in Nicollet no one eats steak with fish because Grandpa thinks we're crazy.
Oh no, I can hear Grandpa talking about wanting another bracelet. Kenny Wells got a nice one in Cancun. Something about a Harley hat as well. Me thinks we'll be finding the San Diego Harley store.
Gary Coleman wants my motorcycle. Mary Etta wants my ice cream. Mark Zins says after you hit the ground he'll look for my billfold. That son of a bitch. Roger wants my Lumina. Henry Peters wants my truck I think. Mark gets the best though because there's more in my billfold. I told them Boomer can have my house.
This B-team has got it all over the A-squad. Scott probably won't let the A-team in the door. The doorway will be full of empty O'Douls cans, you won't be able to get in.
And that's enough bullshit for now. Over and out.
Olivias birthday party was a success. Atleast there were no punches thrown. She got lots of great presents, including a huge trampoline with a net surround for out on the ponderosa. So anyone that wants to join in, I will be setting it up this wekend, weather permitting. Scott, get the b-squad, get them out and then let the fun begin.
Just wanted to let the family know that an outsider got in! Any last words before "I Do" is "I Did" ?? I do want you all to know that I'm excited to be part of your family and I'll try my best to be as sarcastic as you all are:)
The packing has begun. The repacking will happen tonight. Scott what is this low 60's forecast I keep hearing? I thought it was always 75 and sunny in San Diego? Alyssa, the minimalist packing has been tossed out. I'm bringing everything in my closet *and* I went shopping today.
Here's a picture from Liv's party on Saturday with her favorite present from her favorite Auntie.

We danced, we colored, we ate, Liv took lots of pictures with the digital cameras and then they kicked us out.

This is Gage pretending to be at his cousins' birthday parties.
How did the birthday parties for Seth-Man and Livy-Lou go? Did all the parents survive? I'm still waiting for an entry from Stan. Lisa must let you touch the computer occasionally, doesn't she?
We are enjoying the fantastic weather and no longer are green with envy about the San Diego trip. Gage was so tired yesterday that he went to bed at 7:30!! We will expect hourly posts while you all are gone so hopefully Scott's Cable modem can keep up.
OK, back outside with us to contiune counting all the dead fish in the pond.
I can see that if we miss a couple of days without logging on, we have a lot of reading to do. It seems a lot like going to my class. If you start getting weekly feedback messages with grades, you'll know that I have been on the computer too long. I'm on a short break right now and have not been spending much time on the computer. I will be teaching another class starting on April 10; I'm hoping that it won't be quite as time consuming this time. It's supposed to be a part- time job. I'm finding teaching on the internet even more challenging than my ITV experience.
I'll try to log onto this site often enough to keep John updated on what is occurring and to encourage him to make an entry once in awhile. I suppose we'd better keep up with everyone else and include a picture quite soon.
its going to take a lot of brownie points to get my favorite away. he's such a
nice fishing and golfing guy to be with. plus he's such a nice cook. but
gang keep trying!!!!!. See YA Soon
Judging by the time that some of these entries have been posted, one would have but one question to ask. Don't you people have anything to do during the day? Thats right, the #1 grandchild is back on line. I haven't figured this new e-mail of mine out quite yet, but when I can get electricity out here to the Ponderosa, look out. Olivia is having her 5th birthday party this Saturday for a few of her friends from playschool at the Village Hall in Carver. And if you have not heard yet, this is a co-effort between myself and my lovely ex-wife. It should be interesting to say the least. There is not much to tell about the wedding plans. It is going to be a small ceremony at a small church that we found about 2 miles from our new house. Sorry that we are not inviting everyone, but after both going through this once, we decided that small would be the best. Scott get ready. After the b-squad leaves, we will be right behind to take over that new place.

Here are some photos that are probably more in keeping with what the website was intended for. Aren't they some grand gals???
Hey Dad --- I know you're out there reading these crazy rantings. You've probably printed them all out for the Mug 'N Jug crew. Remember, you are responsible for this family line. Now we just need to get you trained to add your 2 cents.
Once and for all --- tell us which one of us is really your favorite. I think being the oldest should get me some points. Jeff, your title is in jeopardy!
Lisa,
You get the air mattress. It is plastic and easily cleaned.
I am begining to hope the war breaks out and all flights are cancelled.
Today: 72 degrees, clear and beautiful. Sunday: rain! Tuesday: ?
A.J., where in L.A. do you want to go? Dad wants to make plans to cruise Hollywood Blvd. Wants to see John Wayne's star on Walk of Fame.
Email conversation from today. Thought everyone should be aware.
From Jeff & Sheila:
Hey, Poopsi!!
Looks like your website is a big hit. When does phase 2 kick in? I thought it would be fun if you could get your male tech servants to find a "Wheel of Fortune" or roulette type wheel animation to put on the site. All our names would be on the wheel and a weekly spin would determine that week's "Dood's Favorite". Possible? Mull it over on your nice vacation and make it so!!!
My response:
Would we have to rig it so that Jeff was the favorite every week?
Their response:
No need, really. This would just be for show for all you other unimportants while I remain the forever "true favorite".

Kathy, Thank God you 'happied up' in your 50's...
Mission Accomplished!!!
Erin, quick. How do you delete the posts you don't agree with? How soon can we archive some of these pictures, like from that ugly cat (not Scott) on up? Why can't I be monitor?

Now, take that, Jeffy! Say you're sorry and I won't go digging thru my vast array of incriminating photo albums... One down, one to go...
Caution!!!!
AJ and Erin - GIVE LISA HER OWN BED!
For those of you with crappy email (such as my brother), I can hook you up with your very own doodsbrood email address! And at doodsbrood, you can get whatever email name you want. Think someone has taken hawghunter here? No way! And we don't delete it after 3 days either!
Let me know and I'll give you the skinny on everything.
Anyone watching American Idol? Go Ruben!
I thought this was a website for the Grunst family. Apparently, Scott believes it is a Welcome Back, Kotter fan club from his Enduring the Weather picture post. Since when did Gabe Kaplan become a relative of ours. I too have included a picture of Gabe Kaplan to keep up with uncle Scotty. A few notes to all of those in my family. I will use John's format of writing as it has proven faster and wittier.
Curt -- Please start using spell check or stop drinking vodka before posting
Kathy -- You may have goofy teeth but you still landed Curt, not too bad
Lonni -- Hello? don't forget about your painting sidekick
Erin -- Great job on the website, although "techy chic" won't get you too much action
John -- Always hit on 16 when a dealer has face card showing
Jeff/Sheila/Gage -- Nice picture of Gage what, he can't write in cursive like my boy, Riley, is
Mom/Stan/Aj -- I only live 2 miles away, come visit or at least offer to babysit.
Grandpa -- Start a list of things you would like to say, I will come down and type them in for you sometime
On a more personal note, after another valley in the rollercoaster that is my life I am on the upswing and looking to plateau somewhere near the top. My parents have been a wonderful support system through the last debacle. I took the advice of a techy cousin of mine and started taking responsibility for my own actions. It has proved to be quite a fruitful endeavor.
Anyways, I think this website is a great way to keep in touch, just please don't forget to come and babysit. We will be having a birthday party for Riley sometime in the near future I will send invites to 2 or 3 of you as we only have room for 8 people in my shack, unless you are willing to stand on the deck all day. Riley goes in for tearduct surgery on the 18th of March. Please take a moment on the 22nd and say a prayer for son# 1 Carter, hopefully this will be the last birthday without him. Peace.

Scott's photo has been fixed! No more life size Harley pictures.
Jeff - in case you were wondering I had a ham and veggie crepe for lunch. It sucked. But I will be back to get a nutella crepe one of these days. I think I'll have a banana for an afternoon snack.
And in seven days and a few hours, I think I'll have a gin and tonic on the plane on my way to sun and sand! Here's to hoping I somehow get bumped to first class while the rest of the fam gets stuck in coach. I've also been using the self tanning cream so my legs don't match Grandpa's. I smell a little funny, but look damn good!
Did my brother fall into a hole? Maybe that's what planning a wedding does to you. Note to self and AJ - don't ever get married!
According to my informal count, Curt has outposted Lisa about 4-1. What's going on over dere in Lakeville? We sure would like to know what you guys had for breakfast and when you went shopping and those sorts of things. I was just kidding about no trip gab, so you guys go ahead and discuss those plans with the rest of us unfortunates. We will live vicariously through your posts. I will now refresh and wait for Scott's photo to blow out the sides of my monitor again.
I had a vodka grape-fruit and it suddenly became quite clear! Erin is there a spell check?
Anybody,
How do you read or right comments? I went to the help page but it was no help.
I see 12 comments and could only open one from Erin.
Damn, it seems everybody has got time to spend plunking on this technological beast of a machine. Let's spend more of our time marching for peace--who in this family voted for goofy George Jr. anyhow? However, I'm happy to tell you that we have no fear. Lucas is contemplating joining the Navy next year, and that should be the end of any military action as we know of it today.
Zach, on the other hand, will soon be accompanying me to juvenile court as he had his fourth moving violation within a year. Kaching!
Steph and Bri recently acquired braces as they were somehow blessed with Dad's and Mom's (Lois') teeth. Not to mention Aunt Kathy's. More kaching!
Sharon keeps dragging me out to that damn casiner, and usually that ends up costing more kaching.
Us people up north (that includes uou, Jeff, et al) have been suffereing with a god-awful cold winter. Plans for some of this family to head out to Diego are met with more than a little green skin.
Curt/Kathy, if you need any help building your once again new mansion, give me a call--remember I saved district 507 once upon a time.
Lisa/Stan/et al, the horses are all ready for you any time now. Ride em high, ride em low, giddy up, giddy up, let's go!
Jeff/Sheila/Gage and all the other creatures under your roof, don't cut Gage's hair too short or he might start looking like the old man. Let's have a pumpkin growing contest this year.
Scott/females of CA maybe, maybe not, don't sell Dr. John short when it comes to mastering this wireless universe. I'm imbibing everything on Doodsbrood, and so I'm watching. Always watching.
Lonni, what did you say Christina's dowry was worth?
Erin, I still have your Santa present. I'll save it for when you come up to savage country--or not. P.S. Lots of great looking farming Pierz men all over.
Dood, get up here as soon as you can! All fish are biting, constantly, deer are everywhere, the ducks and pheasants are thick, and the casino always pays. Hurry!
Boomer, what's up, babe?
Well, that's about all for now. See you next time in the fifth dimension. Goombye!
Thought it was about time I added to the page. It's a balmy -3 degrees at 11 this morning here in the sticks. How many one-way tickets do you think they have to San Diego? We are about ready to go too. I am very happy to report some progress here in the sticks however. Krispy Kreme is now delivering fresh doughnuts daily to a Perham grocery store!! This has seriously enhanced my life although maybe 5 2-3 times a week may add a few too many pounds. Maybe Gage's "Pa-Pooh" will find time to come visit now soon.
Today was a big day for us: Gagey got his first haircut. He looks like a little man now. We had to do it while he was watching Blue's Clue's of course. We let him watch it whenever we get tired of rescuing the little monkey from whatever predicament he gets himself into. He sure loves to climb. Last night he nearly bit off a chunk of his tongue. OW!!
We, like Lisa, are interested in the wedding details! Come on, share some info with us old folk. Well, off to stare out the window some more and dream about summer...
PS We've got an idea about vacation next year. Will write about it later.
Curt took 2 women to the mall to shop for clothes. One woman was tall, beautiful and loved buying clothes. the other was short, heavy set and could care less about what she wore. When they left the mall the beautiful woman looked great and everyone looked on with envy but cost Curt some money. The short, heavy set woman bought nothing and no one paid any attention but she cost Curt no money. Which motorcycle would you want to ride?
See Curt's post!
It's a fun filled Friday night in the Krohn household. Lucy and Madison slept while I scraped wallpaper paste off the walls in the basement. People really should not be allowed to put up wallpaper that requires this much paste. Or else they should have to take it down before they sell the house. So we scrape and then prime and paint and new carpet and then pretty new basement! Don't you worry, I'll post pictures. I'm tech savvy like that.
At least this should be my last project on this house until Lonni decides I can "bump" out the kitchen and put in my dream kitchen. Something about roof lines and tearing out the deck. I can't remember, I don't think I was really listening after the "No, you can't do that" part.
Sunday Mom and Dad are coming up to visit. By the way did you see my daddy's cute little post below? So cute. I'm making brunch and then we're doing the Parade of Homes. Poor Dad. We're going to the really spendy houses. Any bets on how many ideas make it into the cabin?
Spring will be here soon, so I loaded up my Honda and Doods Harley and hauled them over to Larry Sparks tuneup shop. The Honda only needed very little work but the Harley had a list a mile long. They should be ready to pick up next week and hopefully we can start riding the bikes soon. We will start on the lake home project the last week in March, I hope my body will hold up through this project. I see my godson is a world traveler already and is very smart like his godfather. Work is very busy as always and I am enjoying my work. So if AJ is staying out west, who will we do with out my favorite goddaughter around to pick on Aunt Kathy. See you later.
Poopsie,
Thanks for creating such a fun way for me to vent and be the smart ass Lonni thinks I am! I know this requires money so how much do I owe?
Thanks for the help Dr. #2 and Poopsie!
I have already talked to Tommy Schuck and he instructed me to "click on picture, send to Poopsie and upload to the HTML then cut and paste to proper size. Then right click on Dood's e-mail and hope he is not fishing or at the casino then he will download it for you." Simple. I will take off work early tomorrow and give it a try. Dad, stay home!

Just had to show Diego Kid how easy the picture posting on this site can be. After following Poopsie's 10 point instructions, I hope there is a picture here. If not, allow me to describe the scene for you. The little genius has just finished writing his name in the sands of Jamaica, no cursives as yet but a remarkable ability to write upside down.
By the way, no more discussion of the upcoming San Diego trip(s) will be allowed. If Jeffy can't go, there is no vacation.
And Kathy, if you would have bothered to read the comments on Erin's original post, you would note that one of the Grunst males had already contributed!
Alright you smart asses. To post a picture on the site here's what you do:
1. Log in.
2. Choose Manage Weblog
3. Click on Upload File
4. Browse to where your file is on your hard drive. PLEASE be sure that you have adjusted the size of your picture so it is not HUGE. If you're not sure how to do this, you can send the pic to me first and I'll size it down.
5. Click the radio button for
6. Click Upload.
7. Choose to create an entry with the picture. Click 'Embedded Image'.
8. It will create an entry for you with the correct HTML to show the picture. Type anything above or below that HTML that you want in your post.

I spent 15 minutes last night trying to post some pictures, but I think we have the Tommy Schuck (spelling) web page version! I love the graphics and ease of use. Erin, can we add or revise this web page or do you have complete creative control. I guarantee Lucas could come up with something better with free software from the Pierz second hand store (unless he has already joined the navy).
I think this is a great idea and will eventually replace my therapy sessions. I am still trying to come to grips with my abusive relationship with my brother (Dr. #1). I have become so used to beating up on brothers, I thought I would get a dog and try that for a change. John, I know you are not computer literate, so I can talk stupid and you'll never know. Oops, Sharon are you on line?
I have been busy trying to get ready for the first Grunst assault on San Diego. I can not seem to clean up the poop in my guest bedroom where Dad will be sleeping. There is no more room under the bed. Dad if you by chance have figured out how to access this site, please bring a pooper scooper.
I recently settled with the insurrance company with the drunk you total my car. I will get about $60,000 and plan to pay off my 2nd mortgage and save myself $400 per month. I still want to buy that Fat Boy motorcycle so I can carry on the rebel tradition, but that will have to wait. Sorry Dad. By the way dad, I told Trenace you haven't gained a pound sence the picture from John's wedding. I hope your ice cream eating days have stopped! "The Gray Haired San Diego Widows" society is looking forward to the volley ball beach party I have planned in your honor. The invitations say "Doodsbrood is looking GOOOOOD, come play at the beach and check out the STUD!"
This is the time for spell check! What no spell check? In the e-mail messages of the STUD Dood himself, Thanx fur yur thots ant prairers.
Where are the men in this family??? Come on guys --- you must have something to say!
I'm sitting here dreaming of warm sunshine and a turquoise blue ocean and wishing I was getting out of the snow and cold for a few days. Which made me think that we should maybe plan a family vacation for next year. Seems it takes that long to get everything organized. It would be good to bring the whole crew together for more than just a few hours at holiday time.
Thoughts on destinations... Mexico was wonderful, but we almost lost A.J. to the Mexican mafia. Jeff and Sheila (our world travelers) maybe have some ideas. Our neighbors have gone to Fort Meyers Beach in Florida for a number of years and absolutely love that area. They stay in some very nice condos on the beach. Lots of golfing close by, driving distance to Disney World, Busch Gardens, and the MN Twins spring training camp. Let's toss around ideas. I know I will be ready for a vacation after a year of construction work.
I've added a Recipes category. Colin claims this will keep all of our recipes in one nice archive or something to that effect. So if you would like to post a recipe, choose the Recipe category when posting.
Countdown to warm weather - 13 days.
You've really done it now, Erin. You've given the whole world the ability to see the intricate workings of our family--complete with sarcasm, dysfunction, and neurosis. We are destined to become the "Osbourne's" of the Internet, I've already got roles picked out for everybody...
I will have Easter, let's make it 'bring a dish to pass' like Christmas at the Krohn's, that worked out great. Always striving to be like my big sister, I have a craft picked out for our entertainment. I'm sure you are all dying to know what it is, let's just say its theme is spring-y/garden-y. (Lonni, you will LOVE this)
Speaking of life events, such as the birthdays Kathy listed, isn't there a wedding coming up in the near future? Details, we need details, even if it is to be a very private affair!!
I don't have much news to share, but I'm sure some of us will have tales to tell when we return from our vacation(s) at Scott's Hotel/Kennel. Dad is looking forward to hiking on the beach on stilts. Alyssa called yesterday to confirm that she does indeed have a ONE-WAY ticket to San Diego, after being stuck in morning rush-hour traffic for over 2 hours from a mere 2 inches of snow. She says she 'ain't coming back'.
I leave you with a quote for the day:
"Do not be afraid of death. Rather, be afraid of an unlived life."
I had to be the first to try this! My talented techy daughter - good job setting up this site. We may need a family instructional session to learn how to use this. If Dad can figure it out, I'll give you a Pepsi Cola cooler. It will be fun to share pictures and day to day family happenings. What a great way to stay in touch. Thank goodness you are so computer savvy. I'm just happy that I learned how to download a song off the Internet.
Wish I had some earth shaking news to post. Best I can do is: the screen porch is off the mobile home at the lake and loaded on a trailer destined for the garbage dump. Next up - we will no longer be trailer trash once the mobile home is outa there --- soon, I hope - weather permitting.
We have some March birthdays to celebrate. Oliva (5) Seth (10) Carter (2)
O.K. --- now I sound like Violet Bode in the Nicollet Ledger.
Hola familia! We're up and running but just barely. For now, this is a standard template but I'll work on customizing it, putting some pictures on it and that kind of thing. Next up is individual pages. Still waiting on pictures! Those will come slowly but I'll try to get stuff out by summertime.
So post your news! Hopefully this will be an easy way to keep track of the family.
So who's having Easter?
