I wonder how close we can get the motorcycles to the cabin? It looks like you cross a bridge to the entry.
Posted by: Scott at January 8, 2010 06:08 PMI think you found a good one here, Lisa. Maybe it will be our "Sand Lake." No TV, no problem. I have all 7 seasons of "24", 3 seasons of "Lost", 2 seasons of "Grey's Anatomy." We will be so busy racing minnows and finding that extra speedy turtle for the turtle races, there will be no time for TV.
I see that screen porch and deck as the perfect spot for lots of card and board games. First we will have to stock the bar!
Scott, I nominate you chairman of the motorcycle ride itinerary. Amazing what you can do on the internet.
Way to go Family Vacay Team. The e-mails were a flyin' today.

You know, the fact that this cabin became available only after we were about 2 seconds away from booking another one just tells me that this IS going to be one heck of a vacay!

I am SO excited! After hearing about all of the fun on the SD trip, I knew I couldn't miss this one! Us peeps on the vacay team worked very hard on this, my eyes were bleeding from all the emails and internet searching.
Looks like Kathy has the dramas covered so I'll bring the comedies...Se* and the City, Weeds and Friends.
Off to Petsmart to pick up my turtle for the races. Time to start training.
Posted by: Alyssa at January 9, 2010 04:33 PMDavid and I and our StP deer hunting group have stayed at the Broadwater Lodge numerous times....during deer season that is. In fact we stayed in the exact cabin that you guys seem to be booking. It is a great place. Bedrooms and a bathroom in the basement with an entrance there as well. Huge kitchen and living room on the main and bedrooms in the loft. The porch is nice as well. Great place, friendly owners and hey it is only 20 miles from us. Be sure to get to Longville for the world famous turtle races. I think that each resort sponsors a turtle. Seriously the town of Longville is totally packed every Wednesday for those damned races.
Posted by: Bobbi at January 10, 2010 11:31 AMHey, you adopted Dood's Brood member! It's good to know we made a good choice. You have an open invitation to come and visit. Maybe you would like to sign up for babysitting or catering duties?
