Not Homecoming King yet...

but it's a start.

Sam told me on the way to his game this week that "I was born to play football, Mom." Of course, then I had to explain how he must have gotten that gene from his 3 Grunst uncles.

Keep up the good work, Sam. Some day you might be able to score five touchdowns and run 267 yards in one game. Then you'll be in the club, and homecoming king will be a slam dunk.

Go get them Sammy!
But be safe and smart about how you play. Otherwise, someday you might have trouble remembering your name after being knocked out every other game and wondering "what was that guy's name who was Homecoming King 1971?"

Sammy what position do you play?

I remember the cake someone baked Jeff when he ran 100 yards in one game. I think I was a little too young for the other two Grunst uncles because they are SO OLD.

Sam, you are too cute in that uniform! Do you get water at half-time even if you don't play well? We'll be waiting to hear all of the highlights.
